All moderated areas of this website are maintained by Durham County Council's Website Administrator, with the exception of our Book Review Guestbook, which is maintained by library staff.

What is Moderation?
Moderation is when content submitted through our website is not automatically published live, but is passed to a member of council staff to view before live publication.Why do we use moderation?
Depending on the area of the website it is used on, moderation may be used for a number of reasons:- To ensure that no defamatory etc. content is added.
- To add a reply to the information before it is published.
- To place the content in a classification structure.
