Location and Access

Shildon Library is situated next door to Shildon Health Centre, opposite St Johns Church and the Town Square. It offers a wide range of services and facilities for you and your family to enjoy.The library is all on one level and we have automatic front doors.

Transport and Travel

There is a bus stop just outside for all the main bus routes through Shildon and a large car park is available behind the library.

Regular Events

We hold occasional coffee mornings - usually to raise money for charity and in school holidays we have craft sessions, quiz sheets and colouring sheets for children, contact Shildon Library for more information.

Every Tuesday morning we hold an under 4s activity session with Sure Start. Shildon library also offers some IT courses in conjunction with the skills 4 life project.
