Location and Access

Newton Hall is a large housing estate on the outskirts of Durham City. The library is located next to St. Godric's School and opposite the shops and offers a wide variety of services, events and facilities for you and your family to enjoy.

Currently we have wheelchair access along with Supernova screen reading software and a large keyboard.

Transport and Travel

There is a bus stop directly across the road from the library and a small car park at the rear of the building with more parking next to the nearby shops.

  • Stories and crafts for under fives each Friday at 11.00am
  • Craft Club - every Monday at 7.00pm
  • Reading groups meet at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday and 10.00am on the second Thursday in the month
  • Neighbourhood Policing Team Surgeries held every four weeks from 6.00pm to 7.00pm beginning on 21 February
