Location and Access
Chilton Library is situated on Durham Road, Chilton, behind bus stop on the front street in the village, between Aged Persons Bungalows and the houses on Durham Road. The library offers a range of services for you and your family to enjoy.We are accessible by wheelchair users, the front doors are now automatic for entry. When leaving the building it is necessary to press a pad to open the door. We do have Supernova software on one of our two public access PC's. There is also a large keyboard and trackerball available on request.
Transport and Travel
The nearest bus stop is in front of the library and is used by service numbers 723, 15, 3A, 2 (buses travelling towards Darlington and Bishop Auckland).Chilton Library has its own car park at rear of building.
