Saturday 9.00am until 1.00pm.

Closed for lunch 12.30pm until 1.30pm each day.

Location and Access

Brandon library is situated next to the Co-op. It offers a variety of services and facilities for you and your family to enjoy. There is disabled access. Supernova screen reading software and a large keyboard are available.

Transport and Travel

The nearest bus stop is 50 yards away and the bus to Durham, 49, 49A and 50 pass the stop. Parking is available near the Co-op.

Regular Events

  • The Brandon Reading Group - Meets on Friday 10 October at 2.00pm to discuss "Sold to the Man with the Tin Leg" by Philip Serrell. As well as the nominated book of the month, the group discuss the books they have been reading and recommend titles to each other. Meetings are very informal and new members are always welcome.
  • On 17 September at 1.30pm Gary Wain will give a talk on the famous local murderess Mary Ann Cotton. This event is free and more details are available from the library.

Childrens Events

  • Tiny tots story and craft sessions are held on Tuesday afternoons from 2.30pm until 3.00pm term time only. Two toys can be borrowed from the Surestart toy library on production of a library card.
