Shaping Future Services for Carers - Consultation Event Report

This consultation event run by Durham County Council Adult and Community Services’ Carer Development Team in June 2007 brought together a mixture of carers who are service users, care professionals from both social care and health services, and representatives of other voluntary & statutory organisations with an interest in the development of services for carers.


The report contains a summary of the event’s findings in five areas:

  • Information
  • Breaks from Caring
  • Support Services
  • Health & Well Being
  • Rights and Having a Say

There is also a summary of questions put to a panel of carer professionals as part of the event, together with their responses.
