Resource Centre for People with Visual Loss

Introduction

The Home Independence Service has a resource centre in partnership with County Durham Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted.

A Sensory Support worker provides advice and information on a wide range of equipment and services related to people with a visual loss. There is a range of demonstration equipment to try and a small range of equipment to purchase on site.

Equipment may be able to be ordered to suit your specific needs or the Sensory Support worker may be able to provide you with appropriate information for you to order direct from the manufacturer/supplier.
