Why do We make Places available for Young People outside our Area?
We recognise that for any home to have the greatest benefit and most positive influence on the young people living there, it is essential that we try to carefully match new admissions to the home. Where an external request provides the best match into an existing group we recognise that outcomes are improved for all, including Durham young people.
With 11 children’s homes with a range of Statements of Purpose, Residential Services have a diversity of environments which offer choices of placements.
