Fostered Looked After Children and M8's

Welcome to the Fostered Looked After Children and M8's groups, the fostering team have established these groups especially for Fostered Looked After Children (FLAC) and foster carer's own children (M8's), to meet with other children and young people.

FLAC and M8 Mission Statement

“During our time spent in this group we want you to feel safe, valued, respected and listened to and most importantly have fun. We want to hear your thoughts, ideas and feelings about living as part of a foster family. This will help us to make positive changes for everyone. It is important to us that you feel safe to share anything with us, e.g. school, friends, likes, dislikes, anything you’re worried or unhappy about. If you tell us about something that we feel makes you or someone else unsafe we may have to share this with social workers or other adults whose job it is to keep children safe. These adults may need to talk more with you and have further discussions in your best interests”
