Spennymoor Comprehensive School and Tudhoe Grange School.

The Local Authority is consulting on a proposal to re-organise Spennymoor Comprehensive School and Tudhoe Grange School into one secondary school from 1 September 2013 as part of the Building School for the Future (BSF) Programme.

The consultation document has been given to Governors, union representatives, teaching and non-teaching staff and parents of pupils at the school and the wider community.

Parents' meetings have been held at the schools on:

  • Spennymoor Comprehensive School - Monday 23 June 2008 at 7.00 pm
  • Tudhoe Grange School (Durham Road Site) - Tuesday 24 June 2008 at 7.00 pm

A public meeting was held at:
  • The Town Hall, Spennymoor - Tuesday 1 July 2008 at 7.00 pm

Local Councillors and Officers from Durham County Council were present at all meetings to clarify points of detail and answer questions.

The closing date for this consultation was 25 July 2008. Outcomes of this consultation will be reported to Durham County Council's Cabinet in September 2008 and a decision will then me made whether or not to progress further with the proposal.
