Easington Area

Easington area provides youth projects/clubs in 13 venues across the district, ranging from shared space in community centres to purpose built youth centres. We also, through partnership, and as a part of centre based work, sometimes have youth workers out on the streets to contact and talk to young people about the types of things they want to do.

Throughout the year, young people (11 – 25 years – but mainly 13 – 19 years) can benefit form participating in a variety of projects, such as:

  • Youth clubs
  • Topic based projects – i.e. music, arts, health etc
  • Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme
  • Other accreditation – youth achievement awards, OCN’s etc
  • Young volunteers training programmes
  • International exchange work
  • Fundraising for your own projects
  • Residentials
  • Outdoor activties
  • Sports/drama/music etc
  • Street-based projects
  • Have Your say – projects
  • Sexual health clinics and projects

Our youth workers can support you to do a number of things from just getting to meet new friends in a club or project, to more individual support with getting into college/training/work or with personal issues. It's up to you!
