Pea Wood is a semi natural woodland with a varied ground layer. The site contains a number of ponds with a variety of marsh and aquatic plants.

From Annfield Plain, take the road towards Tanfield Lea. Upon reaching the crossroads at Harperley, follow the road ahead. Pea Wood is situated on the right hand side, approximately 200 m after the crossroads.
