Facilities

The wood is situated within Allensford Country Park, a 14-acre picnic park in a pleasant riverside setting, a caravan site, refreshment area and shop. The picnic park is adjacent to the parking areas.

The open space of Allensford Country Park lends itself to team games, kite flying and well supervised family barbecues. There is a refurbished play area featuring the latest in exciting play equipment.

There is wheelchair access to most of the site, including the refreshment area and shop. The shop also carries tourist information. Facilities at the park include showers, toilets and a laundry room.

Although the public park and woodland are accessible all year round, the public toilets are closed during the off season.

The caravan site is open between 1 March and 31 October and has 50 pitches for touring caravans and tents.
