The DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery

The Regimental Museum offers led sessions with original hands-on World War I or World War II material for Key Stages 2 and 3, plus quizzes and other museum activities. The Art Gallery shows a wide range of exhibitions throughout the year. Email DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery for more details and bookings. Durham Learning Resources will pay student and teacher entry to the Museum, but there will be an extra charge of 75p per child for led sessions.

Binchester Roman Fort
The fort has one of the finest Roman bath houses in the North of England. For more information, phone 0191 3834212 (all year) or 01388 633089 (May to September). Durham Learning Resources will pay student and teacher entry to the site, but there may also be extra charges for special events or activities.

The Bowes Museum
The Museum hosts important touring exhibitions and has a vast collection of fine and decorative arts. Phone 01833 690606 for information and details of school visits. Durham Learning Resources will pay charges for Arts in Focus (£4 per student).
