Durham County Council Corporate Plan 2008-09
Our 2008 – 2009 Corporate Plan sets out in details how the county council will improve outcomes over the year. 2008 - 2009 is a particularly important one for the council and residents of County Durham. Local Government Review will see a new unitary authority replace the existing county and seven district/borough councils from April 2009, so for this reason, the Corporate Plan only covers one year.
The plan sets out our ambitions for County Durham and explains what we will do to improve our services and achieve:
- Healthier communities
- Safer communities
- People enjoying, achieving and making a positive contribution
- Economic wellbeing
- An improved environment
- A well managed council
