The report provides details of our Comprehensive Performance Assessment results and our achievements in areas right across the council. The report also provides information on our work with partnerships, community engagement and a summary of the council’s statement of accounts.

Here at Durham County Council, staff and members work hard to improve things and ‘to make County Durham the best place in which to live, work and bring up a family’. 2006/07 was a challenging and successful year for us and we’re proud that our efforts and achievements here been rewarded with top marks from Government. We have once again been confirmed as a four star council which makes us one of the best performing councils in the country.
