A Joint Protocol for Information Exchange

The Protocol for Joint Information Exchange has been developed by public sector agencies in County Durham, Darlington and Tees Valley to facilitate the sharing of information between agencies and organisations. Its intention is to provide guidance about the circumstances in which information can be shared, whilst safeguarding the confidential nature of that information, to help ensure that high quality services are provided to people of all ages. The protocol has been revised and the fourth edition (2006) is now available.
