Trading Standards in Schools
Work With Schools
Durham County Council Trading Standards is committed to the provision of consumer education, in particular for young people. During the course of a lifetime, an individual can be involved in many thousands of consumer transactions and these should not be conducted in ignorance of the legal rights afforded by the law of the land. With the philosophy of ‘prevention rather than cure’ in mind, officers of the service give talks on consumer matters. We can give talks on such topics as food labelling and how to complain, and talks can be adapted for a group’s needs. Click here if you wish to request a talk online or contact Sue Constable on 0191 383 3668 to discuss your requirements in person.
