StaySafe - Safety in Numbers and Words

Durham County Council (DCC) is determined to provide up-to-date and accurate information that will assist people to make informed choices about matters that make a difference to their lives.

Communities have told DCC’s Community Safety Team that they would like certain important community safety issues tackled in their local areas. Together with our partners, we are working hard to achieve this. You also have a great role to play in making this happen.

This mini-booklet has been designed to offer up-to-date information in order to help you make informed choices concerning the safety of you and your family and to help tackle crime, disorder and substance misuse in your community. It will give information on projects DCC is involved with and will provide information and advice on various topics taking priority where you live.

Alongside this, there are contact numbers for you to find out more about things that matter to you.
