The Human Rights Act was introduced to bring UK law in line with European Law. A list of Articles has been produced to protect individuals’ civil liberties, basic rights and freedoms. It is important to make sure that the Human Rights Act is considered throughout your work with Community Safety Partnerships.

- Article 9: Freedom of thought, conscience and religion
- Article 10: Freedom of expression
- Article 11: Freedom of assembly and association
- Article 12: Right to marry
- Article 14: Prohibition of discrimination
