Strategic Planning and Performance Management

The Government’s approach to regeneration activity is showing a shift in policy from area based special programmes such as the Single Regeneration Budget to greater use of mainline services to make sustainable improvements in the quality of life of people living in the most deprived areas in the Country.

This is reflected in the Government’s National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal and the associated Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF).

The Regeneration Team is responsible for establishing the corporate strategic and service priorities of the County Council in respect of regeneration, utilising Neighbourhood Renewal Funding, mainstream spend and other related initiatives.
