Artists Database

Arts Development hold a database of professional artists based in the North-East. Artists on the database cross all art forms and are committed to working with groups in County Durham.

The need for the database has arisen from the increase in the number of requests from a great variety of groups, wanting to work with professional artists in a particapary, educational setting.

We have over 100 artists on the database, who work in a various art forms, from storytelling to life drawing and contemporary dance to printmaking.

If you are a community group, school or anyone wanting to work with a professional artist you can search the Community Artists Database.

If you are a professional artist who works with groups and would like to be added to the database, please either add your details to our online form or download the pdf form below, sign it and return it to the address provided. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this information.

You can also include images of your community based work on the website. They should be good quality images in JPEG or GIF format but larger than 5MB. You can send a maximum of three images, but we cannot accept images that include children or young people. Images should be emailed to james.lowther@durham.gov.uk . Please state in the email that you own the copyright for the image or that you have permission from who ever owns the copyright to show the work.
