Blue Badge disability parking scheme

If you have mobility problems, a Blue Badge parking permit will give you the right to park in disabled parking bays in town centres and car parks.

Find out if you, the person you're applying on behalf of, or your organisation can get a pass by using the government's Blue Badge eligibility checker.

Blue Badge permits are recognised across the European Union enabling holders, who travel as either drivers or passengers, to park close to where they need to go.

Who qualifies for a Blue Badge?

Blue Badge Parking

Blue Badge permits are available for car drivers and passengers with severe mobility problems, as well as for those who have difficulty walking. It is also available for people who are severely sight impaired or children under 3 who need essential medical equipment nearby which is too heavy to carry around.

Blue Badges may also be available for organisations, that care for and transport disabled people who would themselves meet one or more of the eligibility criteria for an individual Blue Badge.
