Volunteering at the park

Hardwick Park depends upon the support of dedicated volunteers in order to help it reach its full potential. Find out how you can help.

We are currently at full capacity for volunteers at Hardwick Park, however please keep visiting our page for information about new opportunities when they become available.

Opportunities for volunteers

There are many ways in which you can help the park. Whether you have green fingers, enjoy practical tasks or like helping out with school groups or family activities.

We need help to run a wide range of education sessions to school children or you could get involved in helping to deliver our events in the park, whether it be story telling, arts and crafts, trails or larger events.

No prior experience is needed, just lots of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

All volunteers receive 50% discount in the Hardwick Park Cafe and a parking permit.

Volunteer rangers

If you like getting your hands dirty and being involved in a range of tasks outdoors then help us by becoming a volunteer ranger.

Why volunteer?

There are lots of reasons why our volunteers tell us they give their time. Maybe you want to try something new, make new friends or gain skills to help you back in the work place?

  • To develop new skills
  • To build confidence
  • To get fitter
  • To meet new people and gain friends
  • To improve a CV
  • To do something rewarding and give something back to the community.
