February

National Nest Box Week: Bird Box Making

Saturday 17 February, time slots available between 10.00am - 2.30pm

Are you a master builder? Come along and work with our rangers to build your own wooden bird box for National Nest Box Week. Leave it in the park or take it home for your garden.          

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Advance booking required, please contact us.

£5 per box (ages 5+)

Wood Club

Saturdays on the following dates: 27 January, 24 February, 24 March, 21 April, 26 May and 23 June, 10.00am-12.30pm

Wood Club is back for 2018! The whole family can get involved in these outdoor play and learning sessions where activities are challenging, bring out your imagination, encourage communication and creativity and teach new skills. Join our team once a month and spend some quality family time in the woods.

Younger siblings are welcome but sessions are aimed at school age children. Contact 03000 262 845 or outdoorlearning@durham.gov.uk for further details and to book.

£10 per family (age 5+)

Toddler Tales and Trails: Owl babies

Wednesday 21 or Saturday 24 February, 10.00am-11.30am or 1.00pm-2.30pm

Family fun sessions for younger children (2-5 years) involving craft activities, storytelling and fun park trails.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Advance booking required, please contact us.

£4 per child.
