The UK's largest light festival, Lumiere, is returning to Durham for a fifth edition in 2017 and it's Bigger: Bolder: Brighter!

Thursday 16  to Sunday 19 November 2017 - over four dazzling nights Lumiere will once again transform Durham in spectacular and unexpected ways.

About Lumiere

Commissioned by us and produced by Artichoke - Lumiere is recognised as a world class event, attracting more than 200,000 people in November 2015 and delivering a £9.6million boost to the county's economy.

Supported by 180 volunteers and with an outreach programme involving 860 children and young people and 525 residents, it inspires people from every corner of County Durham and beyond.

Described as 'majestic', 'mesmerising', 'ever-changing' Lumiere was born in Durham and has been exported by Artichoke to both Derry and London since, wowing international audiences.
