Disabled traveller information
If you, or a member of your party has a disability, find out what options are available for getting to Lumiere.
Park and Ride
We recommend that you use our Lumiere Park and Ride. All our buses have accessible facilities and our sites at Belmont, Sniperley and Howlands have accessible toilet facilities. Disabled bus pass holders can travel for free.
Bus services
There are extra bus services from a variety of locations throughout the Festival. All bus services have low floor, step-free entry and can carry one wheelchair user. Concessionary passes can be used on all services.
Parking in Durham
Much of the on street parking is suspended in the city centre. However if you're a Blue Badge holder you can use any available on street pay and display bays free of charge and without time limit when you display your Blue Badge. More information can be found on our road, parking and footpath closures page.
