Training courses for approved driving instructors

We deliver client centred learning courses to help Approved Driving Instructors (ADI) meet the requirements of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) new standards check.

What is the course?

In April 2014 the DVSA introduced a new standards check for driving instructors. Under the new standards driving instructors are assessed on their ability to deliver client centred learning, which looks to develop a driver's ability to evaluate their own performance.

Who is it for?

All qualified instructors are checked at least once every four years to ensure they continue to meet the required standards, as below:

  • Grade A - is a high standard of instruction
  • Grade B -  is a sufficient level of competence
  • Fail - is an unsatisfactory performance

We are an approved provider of the course. Road Safety GB ensures that course standards are maintained across the country.
