Coast and countryside walks
Information about walks across our coast and countryside.

From 29 March, government guidance allows you to meet outdoors, in our parks, in groups of six or two households. This is in addition to outdoor exercise, which is already permitted. You should continue to stay local wherever possible, but you can travel a short distance within your area if necessary. Remember you still need to socially distance within your group of six or two households.
If you prefer to walk with a group, see our Walking and running news and events for our guided walks programme or come along to one of our health walks listed on our Walk Durham page.
