No advance booking is necessary.
Cost: Please pay on arrival - £4 per person (under 16s are free). Carers accompanying a disabled person are free. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
When you attend any of our guided walks, you can give us your feedback online. Your comments are really important and help us to see what you have enjoyed, what we could have done better and what you'd like to see in the future.
Simply fill in the survey and we will pass your comments on to the walk leader.

In very bad weather some walks may be cancelled. If you are in any doubt please contact us. This number is monitored, so if you leave a message with your name and number, someone will return your call.

Please bear in mind that weather and travelling conditions can change within a few hours, and while we do our best to keep you informed, occasionally a walk may be cancelled at very short notice. If you are in any doubt, please do not travel.

Health walks are a series of led walks which are specifically designed to improve people's health. All of the health walks are free and take place at different times and days across County Durham.
Some of the walks provide an introduction to walking and can vary in length providing walking opportunities between one and eight miles, with most being suitable for all fitness levels. No special clothing is needed. However, good strong shoes are appropriate and possibly waterproof clothing depending on the weather.
