Mid Durham AAP forum
This page gives an overview of Mid Durham Area Action Partnership (AAP) forum meetings.
AAPs are expected to deliver 2 forum style events per year, usually before the school summer holidays and towards the back end of the year. The forum sessions are open to all residents, businesses and organisations that reside or operate within the AAP area.
The Forum event towards the end of the year will usually focus on gaining residents' feedback on what priorities the AAP should concentrate its resources on in the following year - this now takes place every other year.
The AAPs deliver a variety of different style Forum events including participatory budgeting, themed events (examples include Christmas, summer or even focusing on younger or older people) and showcase events (highlighting the work of the AAP and the projects they have supported). These events can help update Forum members on the work of their AAP and provide the opportunity for feedback and engagement.
The next Forum session for Mid Durham will take place on Thursday 23 November 2017, 1.00pm - 3.00pm, in the Langley Park Miners Institute and will focus on Dementia Awareness, Information and Planned Developments. For more details please contact us.
Village drop in sessions
We have delivered a number of Forum events which have been linked specifically to village engagement.
In June/July 2013, 2014 and again in 2017, we held drop in sessions in each village in the Mid Durham AAP area. Residents were invited in for a brew and a chat about their village. Information gathered from questionnaires and the drop in sessions formed the basis of an action plan for each village outlining the issues raised.
