Free school meals during lockdown
If your child is entitled to free school meals based on eligibility criteria, your child's school will provide them with either a school meal, food parcel, packed lunch or food vouchers, regardless of whether they are in school or currently at home.
Your school will contact you directly to confirm the details and these arrangements will continue until at least February half-term.
If your child receives free school meals in reception, year 1 and year 2 through the Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme, and you believe your child is entitled to free school meals based on eligibility criteria, you should apply as soon as possible through your child's school, as this will make you eligible to receive additional support, for example the Covid Winter Grant Scheme.
