Mid Durham AAP priorities
Every two years we give local people the opportunity to vote for the priorities that they think we should take action on and on where we should focus our funding and resources.
We are updating our AAP Facebook page with any local information regarding the coronavirus. This includes changes to services or support in your area.
We use the results of the vote, statistical information (you can view this on Mid Durham AAP - profile) and local knowledge to make a decision on what our priorities should be for the coming year. If you want to see a detailed breakdown of the results from the most recent vote, contact us.
Once we set our priorities, we use these priorities to help us decide where we should look to take action and allocate funding.
Current priorities
Mid Durham AAP's current priorities are:
- Children, young people and families
- Crime and community safety
- Older people
Task and finish groups
We take actions on issues linked to our priorities. To do this, we have priority task and finish groups. These groups are made up of board and forum members and representatives from relevant partner organisations. At task group meetings, we identify and discuss issues linked to our priorities, and we consider project ideas and requests for funding linked to these issues. If we want to progress any project ideas, we then send them to the board for approval.
If you're interested in getting involved with one of the task and finish groups or would like to discuss an idea you may have for a project, contact us.
