Bishop Auckland History and Heritage Festival

Bringing heritage to life, the first Bishop Auckland History and Heritage Festival ran from 13 - 28 September 2019.

Twenty-one different organisations were involved in running events during the first festival. Over 1,800 people took part in 30 different events across the town from walks to talks, exhibitions, events, film screenings, workshops and radio shows.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed to the first year's festival, it was a great success.

If you have any feedback about this year's events please contact us.
