Durham AAP funds

As well as the funds listed above we're also able to provide funding from the funds listed below.

It's Up To You

£20,000 has been set aside by Durham AAP for this years 'It's Up to You' funding.  Local community groups and organisations can apply for grants of between £1000 and £2000 with the decision on who gets the funding being made at a voting event on the 23 November 2019.  The event which will take at Durham Town Hall attracted well over 500 people last year and allocated money to 11 local projects.  As well as being in with the chance to get funding the event is also a great way to promote your organisation.

Organisations do have to apply for the funding and further information and an application pack can be obtained by contacting the Durham AAP team.  The closing date for applications is the 27 September 2019.

Young People's Small Grants Fund

We have our own children and young people's small grant fund. Organisations can apply for grants between £200 and £1000 to support their work.

Community Small Grants Fund

We work with the County Durham Community Foundation who manage the community small grants for us.  Groups can apply for amounts between £500 and £2000. Visit County Durham Community Foundation - apply for a grant through the Small Grants Scheme for more information or to apply.

If you're interested in applying for any AAP funding, contact us for more information. We are able to help organisations with the application process.

Neighbourhood budget

Each county councillor has a budget of £19,400 that they can allocate to projects in the local community. You have to apply for funding.

How to apply

If you have a project idea you will need to discuss this with and get the support of your local County Councillor before an application can be considered.

See Your Councillors for a list of  councillor contact details and information on the local projects they have supported with their Neighbourhood Budget.
