Job training and adult learning

Find out about the range of courses available to help you brush up on your basic skills or become qualified in a completely new area of work. Some courses are free for everyone and some are free depending on your circumstances, eg if you're unemployed.

What is available?

  • Everyday skills sessions to tackle problems with English, maths and IT. Boost your confidence and make your work and home life easier whilst working towards a recognised qualification.
  • Vocational courses to support you in your chosen career. Develop your skills, become qualified in what you do or take the first steps towards a completely new career.
  • Earn while you learn. Apprenticeships for people already in work let you gain qualifications and practical skills.
  • Employability courses can help you get back into work or get a new job. Improve your CV writing or interview technique and learn how to complete successful job applications.
