Adult learning and job training

During national lockdown in England, your safety and that of our staff and the local community is extremely important to us and we are taking steps to protect the health and safety of everyone concerned.

All adult education courses will be delivered remotely with immediate effect, until further notice, with the exception of some of our provision for younger vulnerable learners, who we are in contact with regarding their programmes of study. We have notified all staff and are anticipating that remote delivery of courses will continue until at least February half term.

If you have any specific support requests, regarding access to resources or equipment please can you contact your tutor for support directly, or contact us at alss@durham.gov.uk

Please note that it is still important that you notify your tutor if you are going to be absent from any planned classes, so that absences can be recorded accurately. If you do test positive for COVID-19, it is important that you report this to your tutor, to help support us our ongoing reporting processes and for us to support you accordingly.

Please see the National Lockdown Guidance and Key worker Guidance for further information.

We will be keeping the situation under review and learners and notify you of any further changes to the service, in the meantime, your tutor will be able to support you with any queries and will be in touch to provide more specific information.
