Highway problems or queries
You can use this form to report any fault, problem or query on the highway whether it relates to roads, footpaths, winter maintenance, traffic, parking or traffic accident problems.
Household Waste Recycling Centre Permit
All Durham County residents who use a van, pickup or tow a trailer to deposit their household waste at a Household Waste Recycling Centres will be required to apply for a permit to gain entry. Permits will only be issued to residents of County Durham.

Public Rights of Way problems
Durham County Council has a statutory duty to protect your right to use public rights of way, and to ensure that their surfaces are maintained, they are signposted from metalled highways, and kept clear of obstructions. Please help us by reporting any public rights of way problems that you may be aware of.
Speakers on consumer and trading standards matters
Talks can be arranged on consumer and trading standards matters. Specialist talks can be arranged on request: for example, trade descriptions, weights and measures, food, consumer credit, consumer safety.
Street lighting or lit sign problem
You can use this form to report a fault with either a street light or with a lit road sign. Please note that if the light has been damaged by a vehicle or if the door at the base of the column is open you should report this by telephone as an emergency.
Voluntary Countryside Rangers
Full time countryside rangers carry out a wide variety of practical work in maintaining paths, nature reserves and other countryside sites. They have a year-round programme of volunteer working parties in all parts of the county every Wednesday and one Saturday a month. All tools and equipment are provided.
